I've been out 3 times

First two times I saw about 10 deer but none closer than 35-40 yards. A little too far but it got me thinking though  ::)

3rd time I had another bow hunter jsut walking around and he spooked the deer that were going to hopefully come my direction in a few hours. Yeah it's public land but you just can't go stillhunting with a bow. It's very inconsiderate.

Anyway, 3 day weekend. Time to do some camping.

I tell you what, there seems to be a lot less people hunting the early part of the season --- probably b/c of the economy. I know it cost me 20 bucks in gas every time I go and that's in a Ford Ranger. It should pick up in the comming weeks though as the rut should start. My god though, this tempurature has to get out of the 80's !!!
