Who has a Ultra Varmint Rifle 22 WMR ?
I want to get another 22mag and was wondering about this one and how good they shoot and can I get a thumbhole stock for it.

hello hunter! i got a ultra varmit in 22mag. i put a thumbhole stock on it from a guy on ebay that had them. a lot of folks on here were not happy with his service and quality of product. he was only about a 45 min drive for me so i went and picked my stocks. i love the little rifle!! shoots darn good. thumbhole stock is very comfortable to shoot! if i can help anymore drop me a line. take care and have fun shooting!!

Somewhere on this forum I read about one in a shop for $165..I have looked and looked ..I just cant seem to locate  it.. I just got LUCKY and found one new in the box in Kalamazoo MI..for $190.. I jumped on it..and it sure is a shooter...Keep looking..check the classified's maybe that is where i=I seen it

I have one.  Like the little rifle.  it wears a 6X weaver scope and when we go varminting it works great.  The thumb hole stock would be a pain in the butt with the hammer but if you want one... OK  I'm sure any of the stocks will just bolt on.

All H&R single shot stocks will fit all of their single shots, rimfire or centerfire, except the 10ga and 12ga slug gun forends which are much bigger.

I picked up a used one a while back, but haven't decided what power scope to go with.   Would a 2-10 be too much?  Or the 3-9 types? With this caliber recoil isn't a real concern, but I guessed wrong on the .17HMR.
Ended up going to a 3-12 but I don't think the 22 mag has quite the reach..?  It's been a while since I played with the 22 mag.  I grabbed this one cause I have this rash about plywood stocks.  Glad the frosts aren't too far off and those handi bugs will go away.

I put a VXII 3x9x40 on mine...And really like it. First time out it was printing 3/4. groups I dont think a 4x12 would be to much..Keep in mind the paralax issue.. Drop

Ended up putting a 4.5-14x44 Alaskan Guide on the .22 Mag, which came off a 243, which got a 4.5-14x50 along with a green lami TH stock and fore end.  The cinnamon stock/fore end from that went on the .17 HMR, so now I've got an extra Choate stock to find a home for.  This interchanging deal only seems to feed the fever.

i don't have the ultra in the .22 WMR but i do have the synthetic sportster. it's a fine shooting rifle...last time at the range i was shooting 1" and in the nearabouts groups at 120 yards with the federal 40 grain FMJ. more than satisfactory for doing the wylies with...

i'm not much for the laminate thumbhole stocks...too heavy for any moving around much in the field for my liking. i prefer the dragonov style pistol grip like my ultra varmint .223 has...

I have one and  it shoots good.. It has  banner 4 X  circle X shotgun  scope.  It had straight grip lams on it,,but they  were moved to a 20 ga.  Going  to syn. butt and  survivor forearm, seems to make them handle better for  me.

i got an ultra varmint .22mag that shoots great. i have a front sight mounted and a wgrs peep sight at the rear. great woods carry rifle. enough front weight for offhand shooting. had to remove the hump in the buttstock
