Well I sure can't support that list it has too many Ruger guns on it.

I've sure got the S&W K-frame guns tho several in fact and an L-frame 6" I'm planning to have converted to a .44 Special next year.

Toss out those Rugers and add in my FA83s and FA97s to replace them along with a S&W 629 and they do all I can say I'll ever need done.

I'm not much on semiauto guns and hate the 1911 platform with a passion. I do have a Browning Hi Power tho and some Glocks but they see only jacketed bullets.

A Ruger #3 or an NEF Handi Rifle in .45-70 would be on my list.

A Handi rifle in .357 Magnum is another must have.

I like Ruger single actions ok.  I'm not strong enough to carry a Ruger double action.

I have trouble with the Single Actions due to the torque. It isn't the same as a D/A.

And I'm Really fond of my Colt Series 70 Government model....

Jacketed bullets are for most rifles, or things like 22-250's

Isn't the question less about the gun and more about the caliber? I think as far as using cast bullets for a practical application like killing deer the 45-70 is about the ultimate in a common practical caliber that uses a lead bullet with good results.

Since I just started a thread on the 25-20 elsewhere, I'll have to add it to this list.

4 grains of Green Dot and 86 grains of wheel weight makes for cheap, fun shooting :)
