   Do you weigh it, or use a Black Powder Measure
I just read where you just measure it
Which I always did
  When you measure have you weighed ,what was the out come??
I have Pyrodex RS I need 90grns
I cannot find my Brass Black Powder measure tube
What does it Weigh ??
Should it measure and weigh out ??

It would be best to borrow  a volumetric measure and get a volume to weight conversion for YOUR jug of powder.  Volume to weight can vary depending upon a number of factors. 

100 grains measured by volume of Pyrodex RS is about 72 grains by weight according to some posted measurements on the web.  90 grains by volume would then weigh 64.8 grains if your powder is very close in density.  I would be a little conservative with that conversion just to be on the safe side.

7 to 10 ml poly tubes with sealing caps are generally used to carry extra charges afield or to the range.    Some tubes fit nicely in 12 gauge shotgun shell boxes (the plastic type with dividers and a lid).  These...  http://www.eandkscientific.com/product.php?productid=16265 ... for example. You could contact a poster by the name of Lane at MM for lesser numbers of tubes.  It usually isn't practical for a guy to order 1000 for his own use.  ;D

If you want consistent weight measures, use pyrodex Select as it is A LOT more consistent.

I believe all of the black powder substitutes are designed to measure equal to black powder on a Volume basis. Weights will vary. Yes, I suppose you could measure a charge and then weigh it, but that would only work for that brand and type of powder.

I don't think you're losing much with a volume measure. Many benchrest shooters load by volume all the time.

I'm begining to work with Blackhorn 209. I measured out my charge by volume, then weighed the charge on my scale. Using the vials pictured above, which are available in lots of 20 on Ebay, I filled each vial with an exact charge by weight. It is very easy, fast & convenient to just bring 20-30-40 little pre-filled vials to the range for load development.

The nicely made vials only cost $7-$8 per 20ct including S&H to your door. I bought 20 5ml bottles and 20 10ml bottles. The 5ml bottle will hold 120gr (volume measure) of BH 209 but its full to the top of the bottle. The 10ml bottles are 1/2 full and make pouring into the muzzle a bit easier. For $15 bucks you'll have plenty of both.
