Just got back from the Umcompaghre where I filled my cow tag. Saw three legal bulls and about 10 cows and calves. I think the muzzle loader hunters were fewer than normal and the bulls were bugling more than usual. I heard a similar report from the Grand Mesa. The guys from my home town ran across an old fellow on the Grand Mesa who had expired while hunting. No phone service, so they spent a day taking him off the mountain. Since he was by himself, I'm guessing he was a Colo Res. I can think of worse ways to go. I told my buddies " if you're not in shape when you get to the Mtns, you will be when you leave". I didn't consider what could happen if you had a medical condition.
