Have any of you used this bullet to harvest game?
If so what was your experience with it?
Thank you very much for any information you can share.
GOOD SHOOTING!

It's quite accurate. A good bullet for hogs, deer, impala sized african plains game, etc. Too soft for truly big game, in my opinion, although I have not shot anything weighing more than about 300 lbs. with it.

I have never used the 300 grain Sierra bullet for hunting but in penetration testing I have found that it penetrated about the same as similar weight hard cast bullets when both are loaded to 1100 or so. It will out penetrate bullets like the Hornady 300 grain XTP or the Speer 270 grain Gold Dot.

Sierra makes a good bullet, so if this is your choice to use it will serve you well.
