PJ,

Boy, you had me worry there for a moment!  Since I'm a pastor, I was thinking about holding a special healing service for you!  But your commitment to get another 7-30 barrel proves that you are not that far gone!

Thanks for the word about Varget.  I thought about getting a pound of it but I think I use my money elsewhere.   Hornady also suggests that IMR 4064 is the way to go.  I'm going to continue to experiment but it's a bit too cold to visit the range now.

Blessings!

I am a lucky man.  I am going to get PJ's 7-30 Waters and guess what.  PJ has already worked up the proper load for the 120 and the 139 gr. bullets.  All I have to do is just enjoy.  Although I doubt I will ever get the groups PJ did.  But I will have just as much fun as PJ had.  Life sure is great when things go well.
PS- PJ is a fine gentleman to do business with.  Had a fine talk with him on the phone.

What denomination are you ordained in?  My father is a Lutheran pastor with 35+years under his belt, I'm thinking about the seminary, right now I'm hanging in limbo teaching 5-12 band in Iowa.  Just curious.

Selmer,

I'm one of the conservative pastors in the Presbyterian Church (USA).  We'll pray that the Lord guides you were He wants you.  Certainly, our denomination needs more pastors who value the 2nd Amendment!

Blessings!

PS Also, love your fondness of the '06 -- a great cartridge!

I may regret telling you this but 680 is alive and well on the surplus powder market. Hitech Ammunition has it for $59 for 8 pounds, plus shipping, of course, as well as a nice selection of other powders. There are a lot of us using them in these days of $18 a pound in the gun stores... Try this URl. If it doesn't work, do a search for   hitech ammunition.
