Thanks for the detailed explanation.  At to finding lead alloy, I recently read on the Cast Bullet Association forum that the federal government is mandating the end of lead used in ww's, and that this may happen with the next year.  Don't know if it's true, but that would suck if it is.

If your like me youve found that finding linotype anymore is about impossible.

Fine bit of commuication there, Lloyd. Well said! I may have to change my ways a bit. In all fairness, I think I water drop more to cool them quicker for handling purposes as they are hard enough for my needs as is.

Again, Lloyd, you put it very well.

So, are there are enough alternative forms of lead to keep us shooters going, or are our molds, etc gonna just collect dust?  I occasionally read about the lucky guy who lucked into "several thousand pounds" of lead and is set for life.  Gonna have to build a bunker around that lead to keep people off of it.   :D

Commercial casters are gonna have to find some other way to make a living, I suppose.  The beginning of the end, yep, I seen it now.

But in all seriousness, it may not matter a whole lot anyway, because a part of the military is going to be re-deployed right here on the home front very shortly for the use of "animal" control when the economy partially or totally tanks, which is going to happen sooner than later.  Martial law and the abolition of the constitution.  Think about it, there's going to be active military cruising the streets for "our safety", says the president.  No guns will be allowed to be shot without the shooter paying with his life or a trip to the concentration camp, which has already been built and is waiting for people who won't submit to this new from of tyranny.

But the Republic is already damned due to the vast majority of ignorant folk who have no "working knowledge" of the difference between the Constitution of the United States and Karl Marx's Communist Manifesto.

This pre-election has been the most educating as to the state of mind of most people.  Here we have the usual pick between a socialist republican and and socialist democrat, but we also had a REAL candidate in Ron Paul.  And the people just shook their collective heads and said, "Nope, he's just too radical for us.  He keeps saying things about abolishing the Fed and IRS and getting back to sound money, whatever that is.  He's just too radical, you know what I mean.  What about my food stamps?  Will I keep getting them if I vote for him?"

"If a nation expects to be ignorant and free, in a state of civilization, it expects what never was and never will be.
