Had trouble at one of our places for many years, so did all the neighbors.  Then that brand new Dodge diesel pickup belonging to tresspassers was unfortunately burned up in a grass fire on a nearby piece of  property.  No more problems with tresspassers.

This discussion seems to have stopped nearly 3 years ago.  Since I am battling trespassers, vandals, illegal loggers, poachers, etc.  I'd like to know if this situation has been resolved for you, and what the final outcome was.  I would be happy if mine just faded away.

There was nothing that came from the addition of cameras to watch the first camera box in over one year, so I moved the first box to a more wildlife favorable location and took out the additional cameras.

There hasn't been any more trouble since the neighbor's daughter moved away and her ATV riding boy friends went with her.  Her parents were always good to me and all I could do was suspect from where the trouble originated.  They have a young adult son too.  He visits them from time to time, target practices with step-Dad and a 10/22 along their west property line, but he does not reside there and does not appear to be the problem maker.  Time will tell.

i have 300 acres in far west texas, over the past 7 yrs i have had my camper broken in to feeders stolen, ect.
the law was no help he said that its just to far out for him to keep an eye on. i live about 300 miles from my place
so its hard to go out every week end. well last season while sitting in my blind i watched a truck pull up to my camper
two guys got out. they walked approx. 200 yards to one of my other stands and start to hunt. i couldnt believe what
i was seeing. i called the s.o. and they told me that they were very busy and could not get out there for a long time.
i called the game warden and he never answered the phone. so i took thing into my own hands. i DO NOT want anyone
doing what i did, but at the time i was more pissed than smart. first i took two shots into the air which got there attention
and after some very choice words there truck took one from the 7mm mag. well needles to say they left in a hurry.
about two week later while i was in the small town gettin corn the clerk told me that the guys that i shot at have been
huntin my pace for years and from what they told him they would not be back because they didnt want to get shot.
now granted i got the stink eye and some good threats from the s.o. not to mention the game warden. but i think i
got my point across. since then nothing on my place has been touched now time will tell.
again DO NOT do what i did if i could take it back i would have  waited for the s.o."used my head not my emotions"

The better report would be "two armed trespassers on my property and I'm scared that they may be drug dealers or something...  They are searching for something and I'm scared they'll find me.  Send help now... "  The S.O. will get off of their traffic tickets/donuts for something like that...

I would take up trapping for furs if legal in your area.  I would just happen to put a foot clamp trap (not sure about exact name), at the bottom of the tree my cameras are mounted on to get them wiley minks and beavers that like to check out my camera.

We had a problem similar.
With how small cameras are and with digital signals and solar panels you can stick a camera system anywhere and remotly send information.
Instead of the expense and costs of setting up the system, we made a few signs.  "Area under 24 Hour remote video montering.  You may find the nanny cam and the cell phone sending your picture, but you will not find the computer before the police find you."
Stopped a lot of problems.  Everyone minded their Ps and Qs.
Let a few of the people that hunt your property know you just spent a fortune at the spy store website.  With the signs, word will get around.
You may want to put up the omni lens cover you see in casino cielings on a gate or barn wall with a dead micro mag (the single AAA size) flash light inside.

This device.  What is it? (where can I get some / how can I build some)

The caltrops are not needed yet.  Besides I have more than enough honey Locusts to keep tires deflated.

that remnds me of a buddy years ago. He had a hunting camp & stored lots of split wood at it for the stove.  It was regularly being stolen until he put up a nice printed sign that said,  Take at your own risk,  live .357 shells have been placed in many of the pieces here. Never had another problem & of course it was just a threat & he didnt really do it.  Mike

You think you have been ripped off ? 4 yrs ago a logging outfit stold 5 acres of my timber and the Sherriff didnt do a darn thing about it. Some property owner adjacent to me was having timber cut and the loggers just decided to help themselves to some of my timber too. I was not able to get down to my property much that year and did not notice until about two months after the fact. The neighbors thought I was selling timber so they did not say anything. The really bad thing is those trees had not been cut since my great great grandmother bought the place. Man they got away with some nice hardwood. The really scary part of the whole thing is how inept the sheriffs office is. I,m afraid in this day and age your going to have totake matters into your own hands! I bet I'm out 15000 dollars and nothin I can  do about it. My lawyer told me the timber company would spend  ten times more than the timbers worth on a civil suit defense. They are one of those big conglomerates that run roughshod over people apparently this happens all the time. Why the H do I pay taxes when stuff like this can happen and the people entrusted to make things right dont do a darn thing? Me and my brothers and sister had decided to never cut any timber when we inherited the place so much for that. Thanfully it was only 5 acres they could of stolen alot more. Back to the original topic I have run a few poachers off my place. You can fence it and post it and do just about everything humanly possible and still some idiot thinks he has a right to go where he pleases. My neighbors are my only defense since i dont live there full time and I have some good neighbors.

Once a group of people feel that they can come onto your property...it is very difficult to get them to think otherwise.

So far I have confiscated two stands, one climbing ladder, one set of screw in steps, and a set of rattling antlers, this year.  Also I am marking the boundry lines better with no trespassing signs and fence sections (total fencing to be completed with in the next three years due to budget concerns)

Yeah, I read a post from you in another thread about this garbage...it just amazes me what you have gone through with that back section of your land. Sorry to hear...

After a while, hunting two-legged "deer" is a challenge all to itself.  I just wish there was a legal "take" for this land owner oriented activity.
