Well I have to admit I am not an Obama fan, and believe him to be a danger to the country BUT! If I had to choose between Swampy and Obama, I would choose Obama. The ability to have an intelligent conversation would at least be there, even if the topic were repulsive.

If Swampy was the GOP nominee and Obama the Dem nominee, I would vote 3rd party for Dee!

I'm kinda for the rise up and kill em all type deal myself if I see it gettting beyond what I think is constitutional myself. How about anyone else here, I did some killing in the first Iraq war and also had an intruder I shot several years ago. I'm tired of hearing whiners complain how bad it is and not be willing to do anything. Anyone got anything constuctive to add?

Now what abut this Tbone feller he gonna jump in the race when it looks like all the country is divided? That old boy kinda scares me, what he up to?

IT WILL BE MCCAIN OR OBAMA.......THAT IS THE WAY IT IS you can vote for the lessor of 2 evils if you like you will still be voting for evil.....NO ARGUEMENT HERE you can have an influence on the out come or you can add.... your vote to a WISH LIST but right now the MOST evil is leading slightly in the polls....we can disgust other options over the next 4 years but when you wake up November 5 and find out OBAMA won by 1% and 2% went to Bob Barr sure maybe Bob will try harder next time MAYBE GIVE THE DEMOCRATS A 10% EDGE but what a price to pay THE OBAMA PELOSI REED TEAM

So we lost our chance to be happy when the primaries didn't turn out right, so what now, we act like kids and quit the team? For the next 4 or 8 years we have to make the best of a less than good situation.

You folks that just can't stand the way things worked out, you're sick of the situation and you're not going to take it any more, here's an assignment. Instead of acting like little kids, fix the system. Fix the way the primaries are done that allows just a few somewhat liberal States to decide who our candidate will be. You say we can't just keep doing what we've been doing, OK do something constructive instead of whining. FIX IT

For this election we've got to do the best we can with the cards we've been dealt, act like little kids who didn't get their way and in 4 or 8 years we may not have such a subversive, anti government, gun fanatic forum such as this to vent our spleen on.

We for the last several years have had to vote for the lesser of 2 evils. This year is no exception. We can argue later about who will do what or did what. We need to salvage the general election and at least slow the shipwreck.

To fix the system, I would start with the states. The Dems and Reps have a lock on the voting system; however, it seems the Dems have no shame and will do anything to win. If there were people outside of both parties to win election to the national fron, and the new politics could build a presence on the national scene then change could be made.

Perot tried from the top. Even if he had won, he would have no support at the national level to call upon. With new blood and with popular support, the President, Dems, and Reps would not have a lck on power. It is about wrestling power form the parties and returning it to the governed.

In this go around, we know that the Dems will have a radical agenda which will be unmasked once the chads drop. Gunowers stand to loose what ground we made with the assalult ban's death. The Reps and a few Dems are good on the 2nd Amendment. With that I saw for gunowners the top of the ticket is to slow our looses, and the rest is then local.

This is what my dad was trying to get me to understand forty years ago, in my stupid liberal days, when he said "you can't change the system from the outside."
