I also use the Silver State Armory ammo, but use the Barnes 110 gr XXX with good results and accuracy on whitetails and last week on two SD antelopes. 23 " barrell Contender Carbine gets 5/8ths groups on the bench.

I also recommend the SSA line of ammo.  I have a couple of boxes of their 90gr Sierra Varmint loads, and they will do sub 1" groups out of my 18" Contender.  Velocity is 2650fps, and the loads are very consistent.  I have also shot Hornady 110gr VMax's out of the same gun with similar results, with muzzle velocities in the 2635fps range.

As far as deer go, the 110-120gr bullets should work very well.  I have a couple boxes of 120 Sierra ProHunters on the bench right now, but haven't had time to actually load any.
