Have been looking at 30-30 AI based wildcats for a custom Contender barrel. Looking at 25 or 22 caliber but, would appreciate any info on any caliber. Thanks in advance. ???

Safe shooting

One species has evolved into obese cranial fatheads with thin skin in comparison that whines about anything and everything as their shield against their environment. Meus

There is the .22 BRM  as well those that Ladobe mentioned. Along with all the other BRM rounds offered from EABCO. Although, Eben does offer loaded ammo for the 6.5 BRM, so technically that takes it out of the wildcat category.

fwiw, I have the 7BRM, and it's an awesome round

I shoot a 6mm 30-30 Imp. which is, like it sounds a 30-30 necked down and blown out to sharp shoulders. Excellent round in a Contender and very accurate to boot.

The 7mm International Rimmed was a reasonably popular wildcat for IHMSA shooting in the 1980s.  I shot one for awhile, it gave great performance and the accuracy was very decent.  It was a 7 TCU rechambered IIRC.  This case was almost identical to a necked-down .30-30 IMP.

Rook, I have the same thing and a few yrs. ago I loaned my case forming dies and never got them back then noticed how close they were to a 225 win. now I just run .225s thru my improved dies and they work perfect.  The rim is slightly different but I headspace on the shoulder so it doesn't matter, the extractor still catches the rim.
