Advise on a glove release....
« on: August 05, 2003, 04:17:48 PM »
Anybody out there shooting a glove release?  I am thinking about switching but would like to get some feedback from folks that are using, or have used them.  I'm shooting a Hoyt Havoctec, Carbon Express Terminator Hunter 4570's, and currently a Cobra caliper release.  Give me your suggestions and feedback.

Glove Release

I use a winn Free Flight release, they use a very substantial amount of material to build a release and it is very comfortable to use. When you put your thumb into the glove the trigger is always the same length from your finger with or without gloves and I like that. This is a release that doesn't tuck into your shirt sleeve so you can climb a tree, and its in the way if you are pulling arrows out of a target with that hand, but for a release it is the best that I have ever used. Good luck hunting!

I also use a Winn Free Flight glove but I have taken off the Winn release and put a TRU release it its place. The Winn release was wearing the serving and just not as smooth as a the TRU. The owner at my local shop shoots the same set-up and recommended it to me.
