My Dad stole a TC Hawken!!!

Well, not really, but he only paid $130 for it.  The wood is nearly perfect and the metal only had a few little marks from where it had been sitting in someones safe.  From what they seem to be going for this seems like a great deal to me. 
Anyway, the brass is a little dull and he would like to shine it up.  Back when I was in the Marine Corps we used Brasso for anything made of brass.  I was just wondering if this would hurt anything on the TC Hawken.  With his poor eye sight and the fact that he has an Encore that he mainly hunts with, I'm sure this will end up hanging on the wall and I would like to see it all shiny for him.  What does everyone else use to polish the brass on theirs?
By the way, I'll try to get some pictures of it the next time I'm over there and post them up for everyone to see the "stolen" ML.

I used Brasso on mine and it looks great.

Very good deal, absolute the best Hawken rifle, metal to wood fit is outstanding.  I find them to be extremely accurate.

When I was in Military school we used Brasso by the gallons. We had brass every where on our tunics, hats, pants and all over the barracks as well as statues and monumnets.
Now I know of something better.  It's called Never dull and is sold at boating stores.  It is a Stainless Steel polish and works great on Brass.  It is a wadding that you rub and you need a lot less elbo greese to get the same results as Brasso.  Brasso can be used after but Never Dull really works well especally if there is any laquer on the brass.
Caution!!!!!! Do not  REPEAT DO NOT use the Never Dull on anything blued!  If you do it works really well to take it off.
