I have owned one Smith and Wesson (1970's N frame) and 3 Taurus double action revolvers. Why is it that the slide release button (pushed toward the cylinder to release crane and cylinder, open action for loading) on the Taurus made guns wiggle when pushed from the side as though they are just laying there, on the left side of the frame, and the Smith made guns are rock solid, they don't have that "its defective feel to em'" like the Taurus?
At first I thought the cylinder release button was just loose, but on all my Taurus revolvers it is screwed down tight, but still there is that wiggly aspect about them?
These guns were made in the 1990's and I know that Smith & Wesson as well as Taurus have a new shaped cylinder release button. Why did they change that? :?
