scuffs on stock of american 452 cz..

 id like to get these off as im thinking about trading the cz  for an like value ,in savage 110 30 06 .. any help appreciated.. thanks slim

 For scuffs try 0000 steel wool lightly rub until scuff if gone. Then hit whole rifle with it. Will be just a small degree shinier than stock, not noticeable. For bad scuffs start with 000 sw then finish with 0000. Be careful with the 000 not to take away to much material.
 If the wood is dented under scuff try placing a damp rag over the spot then placing an iron on top.
 For scratches that removed finish try the little stain pens in appropriate color then use sw all over rifle to blend.

After you go over it with the 0000 steelwool you may want to try a wood polish or you may end up using a tung oil finish over the whole stock so it matches.  If you have to refinish the whole stock i would go over it lightly with the 0000 steelwool first them apply the finish.  I have repaired scratches in stocks using this method and they come out perfect.
