Making your own pistol grip?
« on: October 14, 2008, 02:27:45 PM »
I would like to try and make my own wood pistol grip for the encore pistol I just bought. Has anyone tried this? I do woodworking as a hobby and was wondering about what size hole to use going through the pistol grip. Wood will expand so a 5/8” hole is real tight, maybe to tight. My encore came with the rubber grip and they have a bushing insert installed. Thanks

I use a 3/4" hole in the grips I make for the encore.

Thanks for the input. Very nice web site. Your grips and forearms are beautiful.
