Old scans of some old slides...

Gallatin River near Pinky's 1984...

Missouri near Big Springs (Great Falls) 1984...

Next three are the Beartooth Plateau/Absaroka Wilderness (I spent three summers camped up there 1989-1991 at 9,000'-11,000').  Have hundreds of slides and prints of the area, but the slides don't scan well and the ex has all the prints that would.

Near Long Lake with West Summit behind 1991...

At Island Lake Campground 1989 9,950' (CG was closed in 2010 unfortunately)...

Switchbacks just east of West Summit (10,890') with Rock Creek Canyon and the Hellroaring Plateau in the background.   This is the title picture for the Lepidopteran guide book I wrote on the area.

Evolution at work. Over two million years ago the genus Homo had small cranial capacity and thick skin to protect them from their environment. One species has evolved into obese cranial fatheads with thin skin in comparison that whines about anything and everything as their shield against their environment. Meus

I decided to climb Mount Haggin today. The peak is 10,607 feet elevation. Its was a great hike and good preparation for hunting season.

This is the view from where I parked. Mt Haggin is the high peak in the background. There is no trail on this side so I bushwacked my way in.

Here is the view once I got above timberline. This is just below the ridge thats half shaded to the right of Haggin in the first pic. This is where the climbing really started.

Here I am at the cairn on the summit. It took just under 4 hours going in and a little less than 3 hours back out.

And just one of the amazing views from the top.
