They are typical of "made in Chicom" optics. Some are acceptable, most are marginal and there are those that will have you scratching your head. Relatively low levels of light transmission. They seem to be inconsistent as far as clarity. I've got a couple mounted on rimfires and they seem to work OK. Considering your time, cost of ammo and range availability, I prefer to skip a 6-pack or two and opt for a better grade of glass. Some of the Simmons that are made in the Phillipines are usually pretty good, but Bushnell will probably farm them out elsewhere. Cabela's does have a pretty awesome return/warranty policy. I would advise looking through the unit if possible before you put your money down. Some of the BSA models offer acceptable performance, considering they are Chicom produced as well.
