NcSTAR scopes on 500snw or 45-70

is  any one familiar  with  these scopes??

do  they  take  recoil?

do they  stand  the test  of  time?

most  i  see  are  illuminated does  that  hold  up?

are  they  all  the  same  quality or  do they  have  different  grades?
when drugs are outlawed only out laws will have drugs

You can get a decent Bushnell Banner for the same money or a bit more, I'd not waste my money on an NcStar, it might work, probably wouldn't for long, but the short eye relief will likely make you wish you got something with a bit more. :o

the only ones i have are non illuminated pistol models. i have them on milsurps with scout mounts. they have done well by me so far, no change in zero no matter what the load.

I have looked through one, kind of like looking at something on the other side of an aquarium.  I'd say stay away.  I can't think up a funny acronym for NcStar, but they are awful close to BSA and we have all heard the issues with them!

I have one on my .308 survivor it is a fixed 4 power. It has held up well kept zero and the optics are clean with a good image.

I had one on a Russian Nagant M44, those things kick a bunch, and it is still working.  Larry

Tryed one on my 280 Handi and it wouldn't hold a zero.  Just shot patterns, and not very tight ones either.  Haven't tryed it on a 22 but still have it laying around somewhere.  DP
