I took 4 pronghorn antelope using Berger 165 gr. VLDs out of a 300 Weatherby Magnum.  They're very accurate and they worked very well for this purpose.  I also took 2 deer with the same load; they worked well on them too.

I took one whitetail deer at a bit over 200 yards with a Berger 115 gr. VLD out of a 25/06 Remington.  They're very accurate out of this rifle as well.  The deer in this case was leaving so I shot it in the rear.  The bullet hit the posterior aspect of the left leg and traveled forward and toward the right lung/liver killing it in short order.

I would probably pick a different bullet if hunting grizzly bear but wouldn't hesitate to use VLDs on anything else in North America.
