Hello All, I got my 35 whelen back [repaired] and added 28ga,500sw,and 204 ... YEA
anyone have some reload info for the 204 with 22" barrel ? bullet weight, powders, I usually go the long route but learning as I get old... JB

i like benchmark for the 32 gr and bl-c(2) for my 40 gr on the 204 website a survey showed the top powers were 4198 and benchmark remember be carfull with the small cal. the pressure changes real fast good luck

Chip,
Mine loves the 34 grain winchester lubalox coated stuff. I am trying to come up with a handload using the Dogtown 34grn. JHP from midway. Let you know if I come up with on that works. The tightest group I could get with the 40 vmax was about 1.25" but the 34 grn goes downrange in .5" groups.

For now i would stay away from Hornady 40 grainers. They may or may not shoot well in your Handi. Mine keyholed them horribly. I load for the 204 and shoot mostly Dogtowns,35 Bergers, and 39 sierras. I've used H and Imr4895, H322 and W788 with good results

Mine shoots the 40gr Vmax with a max load of BL-C2 just fine, <1", it's a popular load, ya just need to work it out using Hodgdon data.

Thanks, 32 + 40 gr hornady's due here tues ,, no blc[2] or benchmark in the powder magazine , plan on starting with 335 . JB
