Remington core lokts ??

I have got some of these to try 25caliber 115gr, and 264caliber 140gr. I will be using them in my 25/06, 6.5x55, and 264 winchester magnum. I am wondering how the work as far as penetration and accuracy. If they willnot hold up good I will just target shoot with them. The are the new core lokt ultra bonded is what is says on the box. Thanks for any info

I have been handloading and shooting deer with Core-Lokt bullets for the past several years. They shoot great and work excellent on deer.

The ultra bonded bullets will work great on game.  Like any bullet, field accuracy depends more on what the rifle likes and the skill of the shooter, than on bullet make or design.

I've been using CoreLokts since the 60s...

If they didn't work I'd have quit years ago...

I've personally know a couple hundred whitetails that just simply hate those core-lokts, but They have never spoken a single word about thier hatred.

theyve been one of my favorite bullets for 30 years. If i had to buy factory ammo in a pinch id wouldnt buy anything else.

I load 100gr Core-Lokts in my .243 and 140gr 7mm Core-Lokts in my 7mm-08. Like posted before, the deer haven't complained. Accuracy and terminal ballistics are good. I have used 165gr & 180gr Core-Lokts in my 30-06. Can't say why I'm using 165gr Honady flat based bullets in my '06 other than I just decided I wanted a change. For 200 yards and less the 180gr round nosed .30 cal Core-Lokts are almost equal to a Nosler Partition in performance at 2800 fps and less. I wish you caould buy them for reloading.

I have had very good ballistic and accuracy results with the 140-grain C-L using H4831 and WMR.  I have no doubt it will do the job.  My load gets me an average of 2600 f.p.s. in the 6.5 Swede.

I have not used the ultra bond version, but I suspect it is an improvement on an already good bullet.

Corelokts are  good game bullets.  How they will shoot in YOUR rifle only you can tell.

I've used just about everything but have settled on core lokts the last few years.  It's kinda like the '06, a good solid choice that will get the job done.   :)

If you have the Ultra bonded they should be fine.  This Year while deer hunting I used a factory loaded ammo on a mule deer and It was just the regular 130 grain core lokts in a 270 and all of the bullets fragmented very badly.  I haved used this same brand  on elk and deer and this was the olny time that They have let me down.  I must of just had a bad batch.  2 shots  both bullets fell apart.

the corelokts have probably been responsibles for more game taken
than any other jacketed bullet. they always perform for me. dan
