 I often wondered why they limited voters to landowners. Now i think i know it was because they were smart enough to realize that if they didn't they would be outnumbered by the other voters who could vote to take away their land and divide it among themselves. Does this sound vaguely familiar?

The wisdom of the founders of this nation and framers of the US Constitution has to rank right up there with the greatest minds of all time. If we'd only have stuck with what the gave us this nation would be in great shape today rather than about to implode.

The founding fathers were truly giants.  Their wisdom is not even understood by most of the people living in this nation.

Limiting voters to landowners removed the concern of bums and others on the dole from voting themselves more things taken from others.  After all, you can always depend on Paul to support you when you are trying to rob Peter and give the spoils to Paul (keeping a cut for yourself of course - like all our politicans do).

Our founding fathers would not let things get this outa hand. They are rolling in their graves as we speak

I believe our constitution was inspired and designed by God himself. POWDERMAN.

We today have vast knowledge at our fingertips and few choose to learn.  Our founding fathers had to travel for miles just to have a different selection of books to study, and they spent their entire lives as a quest for knowledge.  If people today had 1/3 of the thirst for knowledge as our founding fathers our country wouldn't be in this shape either.  If people actually understood how gov and economics worked they would want to change our current gov and restore us back to our roots.
