Why would anyone clean their guns if they didn't need to?  Being able to hunt all season with a fouled bore (like you do with a centerfire rifle I hope) would be awesome.

777 is smokeless as is BH209.

I clean my firearms after every firing session or hunting trip.

I don't consider a fouled bore an accuracy key in my practise.

Where does it say Triple Seven & Blackhorn 209 are smokeless?

Got to ask if they printed " CAN BE USED AS A SUBSITUTE FOR BLACK POWDER " on a can of modern smokeless powder it would make it OK with you ?
A substitute is a substitute AIN"T IT ?
Did the jacketed vs. lead bullet debate or the use of sabots bother you ?
If I were a traditional BP shooter it would be side locks . Then the in line was one of the first systems tried and scraped because side locks were deemed superior back in the day .

TO EACH HIS?HER OWN !
GOOD SHOOTING !

If the powder had a label like that then it would not be smokeless powder.

It doesn't bother me, I just have my own thoughts on the subject same as you all do and I respect that.

The thing is you don't need to agree with me or I don't need to agree with you, its just how it is.

I am confused why you ask about bullets when the subject is about powder?

Do your research........Read the red print.

777 & BH209 are smokeless propellants with an additive to make smoke.  They will tell you otherwise, but that's the case.  If they say it's smokeless then it can't be used in states like FL.  It's smokeless.

Nope, I disagree.  Especially  from the size of the powder charges versus the size of smokeless powder charges used for the Savage 10ML.

I can't find where it says Triple Seven is smokeless powder?

I don't or won't currently buy or use Blackhorn 209 just for the price only.

I'm locking this one.

Question asked and answered. Some stupid suggestions to use smokeless powder in firearms not designed for it seem always to arise when the subject here comes up. It's really quite simple.

DO NOT USE SMOKELESS POWDER IN FIREARMS NOT DESIGNED FOR IT AND SO MARKED BY THE MANUFACTUTER.
