Where will you be November 8th?
« on: October 26, 2008, 06:11:41 PM »
Where are you people going to be?
I will be just outside of Northome MN, at my little cabin in the woods.

Hoping to have another great year.

Last year was the first time in 6 years that my son was able to hunt with me.  It was truely wonderful.  When it came to an end, after a week in the cabin with just him and his mother, (My wife), I had to pull over with the ATV on the drive out. It seems water somehow kept getting in my eyes :}
Then as he was getting in his car, he said, "This will have to be an annual thing from now on."
Been a long time since I heard words that made me feel that good.
This year I have some game cameras out, and there are a couple nice bucks hanging around, so who knows!

For much of the day I'll be rat here in front of my 32" monitor checking to see hat the rest of you are doing. I do hope to get to hunt some this season but likely won't get to do it much. Our gun season begins the Saturday before Thankgiving and that's far enough off I've not even looked yet to check the date.

San Juan, Puerto Rico, visiting a daughter who is working there for the months of Nov and Dec. My wife doesn't understand what a geologist does and this job is a good one to show mom.
I live in area 181 by Duluth and hunted the Oct doe season, so there is meat in the freezer. I also have about 2 weeks of season left when I get back, and all of muzzleloader season. I'm not concerned about missing the opener.

At home. Work commitments won't allow me to leave until Monday. Good luck this weekend, guys. I'll be heading up to Roseau, MN on Monday morning, hunting all week, and coming back Sunday. Would be nice to a bag a biggin' this year.

GB - How have you been doing? It's sure been a while.
