Never really kept up with the stainless models as I never cared for them.
I have nine feather weights in different calibers but three of them are 270s.
One is a 1953 model and it will cut one raged hole at 100 with WIN POWER POINT PLUS 130gr if you can find any. (DISCONTINUED)
This one will also place one each REM 130 & 150 and WIN 130 & 150 within 1.5" at a 100 fired right after each other all in the same group.
It has always done that.
It has won a few bets for me over the years doing just that.
One is a 1988 model with a CIN LAM STOCK and can do almost as good with the same ammo.
I have stock piled about 600 rounds so far and jump on it when ever I can find it.
The last on is a mid 70s model that was cut down to a 21" carbine before I got it.
I don't like the POWER POINTS but will mostly do 3/4" with 130 Federal Premium.
The first two also do pretty well with the old WIN SILVERTIPS in 130gr.
Win just brought back the SILVERTIPS within the last year or two.
Haven't had a chance to try them yet.
I think you will like the gun and the caliber.
With the right ammo you should get 3/4" or better, but don't be discouraged if it only does 1.5" at 100 as that will still do about all you will want out to most of the practical shooting ranges.
