I've got to send the 6-18x50 banner I got from bushnell to fix my original defective Banner back because the new one does not track properly. I'm planning on buying a new scope for my Rossi .243. What's your thoughts on the matter?
Sightron SII fixed 6X w/ AO - Extremely clear. Simplistic. Fine target crosshairs. Target knobs and a lockable AO. I liked this scope a lot other than the 1/8 moa adjustments. $150.00
Sightron SII 3-12-42. This was a very rugged feeling scope. Very clear all through the power spectrum. Positive adjustments. 1/4 moa clicks Whats your opinions? $250.00

Without knowing what you are going to use it for it's kinda hard to make any suggestions. Hunting deer, popping ground hogs, and punching paper all need different optics for best results.

A straight 6x might be a bit shy of field for called varmints and more than I like for much of my deer hunting. You might try a 3x10 Mueller Extreme. I just bought one and so far after putting more than 500 rounds out the barrel under it and adjusting it many times it seems like a very good scope, precise adjustments (1/4 inch) and very good glass.

It's going to be w/in the 2 choices I have posted. I find that Muellers (sorry I know they advertise on here) lack eye relief and the Sightron tracking mechanisms are far better... A friend of mine had a mueller 8-24 i think... I can't remember, but he mounted it on one of his PD guns and wore out the internals...
Mueller did send him a brand new one though

Yup long eye relief is really important for those hard kicking .243s sure wouldn't wanna get a case of scope in the eye from all that recoil.
From your short list get the variable.
