Well, congratulations.  Come down here and let's shoot one of these big wild Texas hogs that are smaller than your big wild Michigan hogs, although the heat probably has them grumpier.

Lloyd, we need more detail than that! Let me know what loads you wring out on yours probably will let me learn a few things for my 4 5/8" 475!!!

Try 25 gr. H-110 and a 400-420, with CCI 350's. And a knuckle protector. You're gonna love that FA .475, even with light loads.

I dont actually have it yet. Made the deal yesterday but right now its a 7.5 inch gun. Its going in for surgery before i even shoot it. Ive been without a 475 for about 5 years now. I traded off my linebaugh built gun in a moment of stupidity. Its allways been my second favorite handgun round next to the 44 mag. Ive been getting by with my custom 475 94 marlin but it will be nice to have a 5 gun again.

Rob Applegate did it but he said it was a hell of an undertaking and hed never do another. Even now it limited in the overall lenght it will take. It will only take ammo about as long as a FA gun will take. Its also limited in the pressure it will take. I wouldnt push it past 35000-40000psi and some linebaugh loads for handguns push well past that. Most of my loads for the rifle are loads that run a 400 to about 1100 fps in a handgun and about 1200 fps for a 350. The rifle tends to add about 200-300 fps to those velocitys so about what i get is full power pistol power in a lever gun which is a power level that will kill about anything in the world. Honestly a 480 puma would do about the same. I think ben forkin might build you one though.  Kind of why i wanted a fA 475 to carry along with it. Ill try all the loads that worked good in the rifle and settle on one load that shoots the best in both.
