My 2 New AK-47's

Here are some photos of my new Lancaster "Russian Red" Model, and my Romanian with black Tapco furniture, and G-2 trigger group. I picked up both yesterday. These are my first 2 AK's. Thus far I'm very pleased with both of them. I've got some 30 round Bulgarian Magazines coming from Natchez.

Pretty darn snazzy there Bill. Lets see now, that's two new AKs to add to your Two new Savages. Seems like things run in twos for you. Please gives us a report on how they shoot when you get a chance.

It's going to take a while for me to get used to the way they handle. They aren't too much different than a M-4, but the rear sight takes some getting used to for me, compared to an AR. They sure point and handle quick, I will say that. I'm not expecting anywhere near the accuracy, but as everyone knows the AK sacrifices accuracy for total dependability.  Bill T.

Back in Nam we captured a bunch of those AK 47's.  I didn't have the foresight to have one shipped home like a buddy of mine did.   He's probably happy as a lark now. :)

FourBee:  some of our folk would ship some of those back to the SF Museum on Smoke Bomb Hill at Bragg and if they happened to have a buddy there, say the NCO in charge or shipping and receiving, whatever they sent back would be there waiting for them. 

It's nice to have friends, sometimes..................
