I have only chronoed a few loads from 60-75 grains of fffg.  I am guessing that you were looking for loads in the 100-150 range.  I will look it up just in case.

Well, since you're posting this in the modern forum, I'm guessing you could care less what I'm getting, but out of my .54 flintlock I get a 224 grain roundball zinging along at 1820 fps.  Powder charge is 110 grains of FFFg Goex.

never assume.  i was planning on getting a flintlock this summer, but money suddenly becames scarce...lol  i like to hear about all guns, modern or traditional.  thanks for the posts so far!

Excellent.  When you do get one, don't go for one of the CVA's with the short barrels.  Longer barrel = more velocity.  The Lyman Great Plains Rifle is great from what I hear, I modified a TC to get my ideal deer gun, put a flint lock and barrel on it then stripped the finish and re-did it.
