Redhead boots?
« on: November 02, 2008, 02:23:56 PM »
Any comments on these? I'm considering a pair of the 10" Expedition boots. My Rocky boots are good for mild weather, but I'm looking at the Redheads for those teen and 20's mornings coming up. The stories I've heard about the newer Rocky's rule them out. Thanks.

Well, I went to BPS this afternoon to look at the Expedition boots. Biggest they had was 10 1/2. So I ended up buying the 9" Big Horn boot from Redhead. They have 800 grams of Thinsulate instead of 1000 but no leather on them. I'll let you know how they work after a week in a tree stand at Thanksgiving.

They look pretty decent. Be interesting to hear how they do. We don't have many frigid days here in MS but the muck boots I have do good with wool socks

I also have a 9" Big horn boots and I bought it last month in eBay. It was really great that time because I have purchased the pairs for a reasonable price! It was really cool indeed!
