Some thoughts from me.
I'm sick, disqusted, etc. over the outcome. At least it looks like the Dems did not get 60 in the Senate, so filibuster is still available to try to stop stupid bills!!
This has been coming 8 years, lots due to the very slanted printed media, TV News, TV Talkshows, Movies, etc. The libs simply crammed "BUSH", "CHENEY", "HALLIBURTON", "CARL ROVE", etc. over and over and over 'till the uniformed masses or the conspiracy nuts revelled in "deranged Bush syndrome". SO, quite buying newpapers, magazines, etc. that are left-slanted. If a TV show or network is left-slanted, write ( politely ) to the show, network, advertisers, etc, complaining about the "slant". Support media and advertisers that are fair, or "right", and LET THEM KNOW!!
So, from here, now what? \
Support Politicians who think like you do, at every level!! Local Town or City elected officials. County, State, and Federal. Really, how many of us have ever taken the time to write a letter or phone them to let them know how we feel?? To thank them and to promise support when they run again. Write letters to the Editor of local newpapers. All polite, factual, but  get the point across!! Try to educate younger folks ( voters, and soon-to-be voters ). Ditto the older folks!! LIFE IS POLITICS, like it or not. All of us here are gun/hunting folks, talk to others about our point of views, and concerns. Neighbors, folks we work with, people we casually "shoot the breeze with". For those still in High School, or entering College, take a Political Science class or two. Don't let the Libs have complete control over the thought/learning process of youngs minds only recieving one (slanted!!) point of view.
Enough of the P.C. Bull, also!!! Now that a "minority" is in office, you know every/any attempt to criticize him will be meant with cries of "racism"; DON'T FALL FOR THAT, OR BACK AWAY FROM YOUR/OUR POINT OF VIEW.
In 2 years the off-cycle elections will come again. Get busy between now and then. It is on OUR shoulders!!
Support those that support us, and oppose those who threaten not only us, but the U.S.

Work together how? By playing Robinhood? I do not make the $200K/year, but mark my words the middle class will be paying more in taxes before it all over and said with. I do not know how, but it WILL happen, they can be very creative. Isn't that what socialism is "working together"? I get what he gets and he gets what I got - we are all equal and if we are not then Obama will see to it that we are. It does not matter how educated you are or how hard you work, it is an entitlement just because you were born here. Take a look at the stock market right now - it is going down - don't sound like there is much confidence in our new leader to me. The economy is just one small part of it, there is a lot more to it than just the economy. You are right in one sense; we do need to work together to get some one in 4 years that believes in capitalism and basic American values. We are getting decadent and it ain't pretty.

I hate defeatist talk too, however, it is by repeating the mistakes of history that got us here.  So repeating the problems with solutions that were tried and failed, we can finally understand and correct them.  It will take perserverence, dedication to the Constitution and constructionist principles, much, much more time and effort to convince others and take an active and effective role in school board elections, local, State and Federal elections.  It is time for all firearms owners to realize that that the 2 nd Amendment, is the only means of enforcement against loss of all rights.  Government can ignore Supreme Court decisions and has in the past.  Government and elected officials can and have ignored the intent of the Constitution and as a living document, subject to current conditions and socially correct PC.  Teachers are predominantly babysitters, not educators.  It is up to us to revise this trend and I personally believe there are not enough dedicated individuals to commit themselves to government of the people, by the people and for the people.  So the end result is that government is for the social well being of the people.  That is Marxism and we deserve it for our own complacency and arguments over petty differences.

It is not a question of negativity.  It is a statement of truth.  The truth is that incumbent Democrats in Congress with less than 17% approval were almost entirely reelected along with quite a few more on the shirt tails of a raciallly motivated Presidential campaign.  If our country was going in the correct direction, Congress would have had a higher appoval rating.  Even Bush's approval rating was nearly double that and the people chose to move in the direction of disapproval.  How in the hell can anyone then say let's wait and see if he will do something correct?  It is clearly apparent that Congress won't get it correct and since I totally disagree with Obama's policies, it is almost a certainty that I won't agree with any new enactments.  If he follow only a few of his campaign promises, our country will be much worse off than ever before.   That is the truth and those who cannot understand this, or persuade themselves that it is better to wait and see before action, or are too emotionally ignorant of the facts, are deluded.
