contender 7-30

 I have a contender in 7-30 waters 21 inch barrel that i am going to handload for it is the older model but has the cougar on it can i load for the winchester lever gun or just for the pistol i,m confused on this by the way i shot a nice mule 3x4 with it at a little over 300 yards with factory 120 grain flat nose they did a good job  thanks craig :-\

I'm not sure I really understand what you are asking. In a lever gun you need flat point bullets not spitzers. Otherwise load data is same for the 7-30 whether in a handgun or rifle barrel. Only the velocity you get would vary. The same powders and bullets apply for TC barrels regardless of length.

I understood the question to be would the Contender frame hold up using the loading data for a lever gun.  I have never seen different loading data for Contenders, so I guess I would assume it can take anything a lever gun can, and also can take pointed bullets.
