What rings?
«

I have a 6" 686 that I want to hunt with some this season and I just picked up a nice m8 2x Leupold for $89, what height rings do I need to use? I have a rail with Weaver mount base, the only rings I have at the house are highs.
Thanks

The high rings should work OK since the scope will have to ride high enough for the shooter to be able to work the hammer if he/she wants to shoot single action. I don't think scope height is as critical with a handgun compared to a rifle.

As far as shooting goes the height of the rings don`t mean all that much. If you have hihg ring use them. The real problem come when your rings are not high enough.
