There really is nothing from paypal to me. I have no such account. The funds donated via the paypal go to Matt not me. In fact that danged paypal account has cost me about $500 or $600 so far this year as he had it set to take money from my account when things he had programmed to pay from it came due and there wasn't funds in it to cover.  :o

You can use the PayPal link at the bottom of any page, or send $$ direct to Bill, if you use PayPal, please indicate your member name and what it's for since that's also used for the Server Fund which you can read about in my signature line link at the bottom of any of my posts. ;)

I just used Tim's instructions and was able to send it.

Well just to let you know GB, myself and several others have sent you funds for your AR15 via Paypal to VidPro. According to the instructions I read, I added a note that indicated my member name and that the money was to go to you for your new AR15. Best of luck buddy....<><....:)

Mine is a check to you, Bill.  Just old fashioned, don't trust this new-fangled stuff. :-\  After reading your post about the Pay-Pal, guess it's justified. ;)  DP

Well, I don't know why.. but I tried again today and it worked fine.  ??? ??? ???

Bill, I sent $20 via Pay-Pal. 10 for you and 10 for the upkeep round here to be used as you see fit.

Enjoy your new "toy".

Got home last night and found the check I sent on the 13th in it's mangled envelope with a "No such address" stamp on it.  Don't know where on the forum I found the address but don't see it in this thread.  Either I copied it wrong or they mangled the envelope and just used that stamp.  Anyway I need Bill's address if anyone has it.  I don't use pay pal so that's not an option.  You can send me a private message if you don't want to put Bill's address on here again.

Thanks fellows.

This needed to be bumped up to the top again anyway, some folks might have missed it and it was clear back on page 4.   ;D

Yesterday Matt and I took a couple of the ARs out to shoot for the first time.

We took the Remington R15 with 18" barrel which wears an EOTech camo Holosight and the Charles Daly A3 with detachable carry handle rear sight and permanent front sight. Ammo was PMC 55 FMJ.

I sighted in the R15 with the Holosight and most of the shooting was done with it. I used a piece of tin left over from cutting off the 11.5' sheet for the roughly 9' side wall for a target. Matt put a cross made of electrical tape on it for a target. It didn't take much adjustment to get it sighted in them Matt got to playing with it. Our targets for the day were a flower pot and a 20 oz. drink bottle as this was real informal plinking.

I tried to sight in the CD but read that coarse adjustment vertically should be made with front sight and I not have a front sight adjustment tool yet. It needed what I felt was some coarse adjustment so I held off on that one until I get an adjustment tool. I was able to hit the bottle and pot with it tho by aiming a bit low. There might have been enough adjustment in the rear but no sense in using it all up when from what I've read that's what the front sight adjustment is for.

Today I tried to scope the 22" R15 but the tallest rings I have are too low and I can't get my head low enough on the butt to see thru the scope so I'll have to buy some taller rings it seems. I plan to put a Leupold scope on it hopefully in QD rings and will likely also buy an Aimpoint for it but first I want to see what Bugflipper has on his rifles when I pay him a visit and decide just what I want on it before I jump.

I've about settled on what kinda upper to get from Model 1 Sales for the Armalite lower but haven't jumped yet as again I want to visit with Bugflipper first and then after some discussion with him looking at his rifles I'll finalize a decision. I expect to set it up as an A3 flat top with 20'' AR15 Standard Upper Half, Government Profile Barrel, 5.56 NATO, chrome lined chamber & bore 1-7" twist with A2 flash hider, 4 rail gas block, with MI flip front sight, rear sight might also be an MI flip up and chrome bolt and carrier with standard charging handle.

I'm also toying with getting Troy flip sights and have not finalized that decision yet.

I expect I will likely mount an Aimpoint Comp M2 on it for primary sighting system.

Hey, so I made my donation, so how do I get the little "GBO Supporter" badge by my avatar?

Lazer

Donations made to the server fund are what get the GBO Supporter designation. If made via pay pal Matt takes care of that as I have no access to the pay pal account or funds that's his job. If a check comes to me here and I can ID who sent it for the server fund I make the designation. If I can't tell what a person's user name on the site is I can't make the designation. Money sent on the AR fund does not count on the GBO Supporter designation. That's something someone perhaps MS got up after I said I was going to get an AR. In fact I got three and a lower for a fourth. So far I've gotten $222 plus a few checks that might add up to around $300 or so on this. I've spent close to $3500 so far on the ARs.

There were a couple folks who sent a combination of AR fund and server fund donations to me at home but didn't indicate their site user name and so I can't tell who they are on the site. If you are one of those or think you might be you need to contact me and let me know who you are and what your user name is so I can check the envelopes to see if you are one who sent funds for both but haven't been given Supporter status yet.

Since I know only a few members real names and know you only by user name here I can't really tell which member you are from only your real name.

CyberDean in WV, new last week and my mind has been in a whirl wind learning my way around and seeing all the info.  Great to read all the posts and info, you all are doing a super job.  Just finished with PayPal, this site is worth more than I can give along, but I know every little bit helps.  Thanks Graybeard for the terrific site.

I don't have a precise count but so far I've gotten around $350 in donations to the AR15. To date I've spent in cash and trade over $4000 on the ARs, ammo, magazines and sighting equipment for them.
