Ignore/Unignore ???

What's that little box for??  I clicked on a post in the classifieds and some of the comments were ignored and some not.  What's this all about??

I could be wrong, but I assumed it was a kind of a "filter" to allow a person to not have to here (or read)from another member who may not want to be herd from or wanted to be "ignored". IE, Joe blow is a blow hard and I dont care what he says or thinks so I am going to turn him off....
 
I have never used it my self.

I thought that at first, too.  But I don't turn anyone off, and some of the threads on my post were off and some were not.  Didn't seem to be any pattern.

CW is right, it's to selectively ignore member's posts, won't work on admins/moderators tho!!   Matt installed the feature Monday.

All replies seem to be showing in your thread Cookie.

Thanks, Tim.  I read the thread, now I C.  My list is blank, and will remain so.  If a thread interests me, I read all the posts.  Hopefully, if someone has a problem with any of my posts, they will PM me and air things out or just blurt it right out on the thread.  My skin isn't so thin, anymore.

Unfortunately there are a few members on GBO that just consistently cause friction or rub people the wrong way, the ignore button can make that friction a moot issue for those that choose to use it.
