from chandra,
states that lam camo checkerd forends will be available 12/12/08............
i figure thats about 3 whitetails from opening gun season 11/26/08
survivor .308 should be trued up by then!!!!!!!!!!!!!
lam camo t/h stock should be arriving any day now from boyds.
boy,    i got lots to look forward too. ;D

Got my Thumbhole stocks in from Boyds today. Nice.  I ordered my forearms from Gun Stocks, Should be in next Monday.

I just received my camo lam forend tonight from Brownells that was ordered last Friday. It matches the Sterling stock I got from Boyd's. I had to order another camo lam stock from Boyd's lastnight as it was at a price I could not pass up. As another member pointed out, the pad usually goes for more than the price of the discounted stock..-g

hey... i received my 2 camo stocks today as well!!!!!!!!
they seem to be perfect, can't find any flaws...
i will know more when i mount one up to the receiver tomorrow.
the other is for a display hornet.

I recieved my thumbhole today as well, the only flaw i found was the hole for the sling stud is off center, which really dosnt matter to me,  and it did come with the bolt

The Forearm that I ordered from Gun Stocks is the Varmit style, its a large forearm that quite a bit bigger than the standard style forearms. Its about 14" long and has a round contour (no checkering)that fits your hand . It with shipping was $62 . They have a spoter that is about $5 cheapet and the factory style is about $10 cheaper.  Keep in mind that these forearms are semi finished and they don't come with the plastic part that fits on the end.. I don't know what Boyds gets for there forearms as I couldn't find them on their Web Site.  The Boyds are different than the others so to me gives the Handi's a totaly different look.
