Handi Tokarev strikes again!
« on: November 15, 2008, 01:48:34 AM »
The Tokarev dropped a 190ld four pointer yesterday in the pouring rain. Shot almost straight down in the back of the head using Wolf 85 grain hollow point. Not much head left. The poor fellow who spooke it never saw it 'til he came upon me dressing it out. Tally: countless coyotes, 200lb black bear sow, 190 pound white tail buck, 160 lb white tail buck{my niece during youth season}. Kim builds an excellent rifle!

Custom built by a fellow in NY. Stubbed with 16.5", 1.06 Lilja barrel, 2lb trigger, Laminate stock set, forend pillar and glass bedded, scope rail with oversize screws. I have no chrono {nor do I feel the need for one}. It will shoot 2" or a shade more groups at 100yds pretty consistantly. It will also shoot completely through a red oak 8" in diameter at 40 measured yards. It's cool and travels with me everywhere.
