November 16, 2008 Good Morning Montana
« on: November 16, 2008, 01:34:45 AM »
It is a fine morning today and hope it meets you all the same.  Well today I got to go over to my brother in-laws place to finish some things with my hanging buck, and then take it easy.  Got to clean the Savage 99 and put it away for the season since I will not be doing any rifle shooting for a while.

Gotta say I love the Savage 99 in 308 Winchester.

Good morning Montanan, good morning everyone.  It's a nice pleasant 32 degree this morning and cloudy.  It's the last day deer season in my region.  THe wife still has her two tags.  Maybe I can talk her into going out this evening, nope ain't gonna happen.  Weather report says possible snow showers, she won't leave the house.

Gues i will just cut and wrap the deer I got.

Just back from checking camp, after the wind that blew this week I was concerned.  All I had to do ws tighten the ropes again, and good to go.  Still feeling pretty puny from this flu bug so didn't really want to do much walking.  Was kinda wet when I got there and then started snowing pretty good with it melting as soon as it hit.  Cleaned up camp and saw it was getting wetter.  Had to put it in 4 wheel to get going so headed back home.  Saw lots of deer on the way back to Billings after about 3pm.  Weather has them moving some now, wish I felt better, should have been a good day.  Still have 2 weeks, though I have to work next sat. and have 4 deer being done now, so It's good to get out anyway.  DP
