Ok, One Rifle Powder
« on: November 17, 2008, 05:38:17 AM »
Saw the topic on one pistol powder.  What would you guys suggest for one rifle powder?  .223, .308, 30-06, 35 Whelen, 45-70, 300 WM for instance.  I was thinking 4064.

There are lots of good .45-70 loads using Varget.

Sorry DD - No way I can get by with one rifle powder - So, can't recommend you just one.

Pistols and shotguns are different than rifles - I reload pistol and shotgun for mild target loads so a less than ideal powder works.  However, for rifle I want the "best" I can find!  For me that means IMR-4350 for 270, IMR-4064 for 7.7x58, IMR - 4320 for my 9,3x62, etc.
