I recently inherited a shotgun from my grandfather. I know its old. It is a single shot 16 gauge. The H&R arms co. Symbol is on the butt end and written on the side of the gun is Western Field. On the barrel is written Made in the USA 16 Gauge choke. Any info that anyone can give me would be appreciated.

can you post a picture? Alot of companies made guns for "Hardware stores" and put the company name on it sear , Montgomery Ward the list goes on. while most don't fetch premium prices they are colectable
