Maybe it will fit my Dad's.
He got a small safe for Christmas about 20 years ago and can't find the keys.
It hasn't been open since he got it way back then!

we got enough to pay the shipping almost so far

i was not going to hold it hostage

Thanks to all that have donated and helped out. My long lost shotgun has found its way home. The shotgun looks brand new now. I refinished the stock dark Walnut stain with a gloss finish. Due to some rust on the barrel I sanded it down with some real fine sand paper and painted it and the receiver a flat black with Krylon spray paint. I have to say that the refurbish job came out great. After I was done I asked my daughter how she liked her new gun. She said what do you mean. I said I am going to use it the rest of my life but when she has a son or grandson that I would like her to give it to him. She is happy and looking forward to shooting it. Thanks guys. Dale

Don thank you very much. I told Tim the other night that your name reminds much of my fathers name. His name was Donald Howard Risher. My name is Dale Edward Risher. Thanks Billy. The pictures really don't do it justice though. It looks much better in person. If you were to hold this in your hands and look good at it you might think it was new. The more experinced eye might catch that it had been redone but I am happy with it for sure. Dale

What color is it?
It looks like what was refered to as the "BLONDE STOCK"/
Maybe it is just the light.
Either way it sure looks good!

Hey Tom. When I striped it down it was Birch wood. I stained it with Minwax Dark Walnut 2716. I will most likely redo the stock again in the next week though. I sprayed it with Krylon Gloss Clear. I had to touch up a place on the receiver with the black paint so I taped off the stock with that blue tape that is not supposed to stick and pull the finish. Well it did!!!!!

Tomorrow after I go out and shoot it on my way home I will pick up some High Gloss Poly from Minwax. I really should have known better than to steer away from a proven product. Dale

Been there too!
Really stinks, when you have something turn out perfect and then something goes wrong.

I once repainted one of my old 1956 chevys and I swear it was one of my better jobs.
It was in the middle of winter and I had my shop up to 80 degrees.
Had the car parked cross wise in front of the big roll up door because that was where the light was the best.
I was sitting there admiring my work when some friends stopped by and before I knew they were there, up went the big door and in came the cold air.
With in 5 minutes you could start to see the runs in the paint.
Why they didn't use the small walk in door through the office I will never know.

That was over 20 years ago and the same car is just now in the final stages of a $6,000.00 professional frame off paint job!
Like your shotgun I sold it once and got it back on a trade and I guess it will be passed down to one of the boys somewhere down the road.
Any way, glad to see you got her back and have put it back in fine shape again!
