Buffalo Classic 45/70 scope mount

Looking at the web site, it "appears" that the BC 45/70 barrel is not tapped for a scope base. I have seen pictures of folks who have scopes on thiers. Did they get sent back to H&R, or somewhere else? Also, when people discuss Throating thier 45/70. Does anyone know the specifics on that machine work?

They are drilled and tapped for the regular 3 hole mount.

ALL H&R1871/NEF rifle barrels are drilled and tapped for a scope mount. ;)
