Have you seen the prices on AR-15 Rifles anymore?
« on: November 19, 2008, 09:57:12 AM »
WOW,
I looked on gunbroker over lunch and I was simply amazed!  What people are paying for an AR-15 right now is just mind blowing.  It was so rediculous that the first thing I thought of was waiting a week before the inaguration and putting everything I have together in a package and start the bidding at around $7,000.  If the prices keep going the way they are I bet somebody would pay that for a package including the gun, mags, brass, bullets, etc.
I knew it was getting bad out there but this is rediculous!

It's bad now but wait till Obama says one word about gun or ammo control and then you will really see a panic. People are hoping for the best but planning on the worst.

I bought a Bushmaster M4 A3 yesterday for 1099 bucks. I called a Gun Store in the next county over and he just happened to get one in that day.I had him put it on hold for me until I could get there to look it over.Good thing I did cause he could have sold it twice while I was buying it.He had a DPMS and a Sabre Defence coming in Friday and they are already spoken for.

I havent seen the prices at large raise that much ... But I have seen some hopefull idiots asking ungodly prices in the paper ... One from my own town here was wanting $600 for a SKS and $950 for a mini 14, Pfffttttt yeah good luck with that guy ..

I can still locate ARs for the price of $700 and up ... AKs are a little harder to come by though

Bought a AR just this week (Bushmaster A2, T6 stock w/ the 16 "bbl) for $700 with 4 new mags ..

So they are still out there guys and not for unrealistic prices ,Just keep up your searching.....they are being bought up fast as you all should well know at this point

Rguns.com is a good place to go and get your complete DPMS lowers and uppers while they still have them , I'll be buying 2 lowers before the first of the year

I'm seeing them from $699 to about as much as a fellow might want to pay around here. The thing is I don't really know much about them and don't know if the lower priced ones are worth what they are asking. The lower cost ones are Olympic brand I think. DPMS are going for around $800 I think. Remington R15s are going right at MSRP with no discount. I picked up a Charles Daly for $999 last week.

Around here AR's are starting at $1000 no matter what brand they are.  I watch a lot of auctions on gunbroker and people are getting 2 or three times the price they should be.  It's just rediculous.

I would wait and see if I was going to be able to keep it, before I bought one.

I believe the rules are a fixin to change drastically.

Boys I dont believe they can change it to make a already legally bought arm a crime after the fact and if they come at the people with the give it to us or else mentality !!??

                                                                                                                  MOLON LABE  !!!!!

The Greek phrase Molōn labe! (Μολὼν λάβε; approximate Classical Greek pronunciation [molɔ̀ːn labé], Modern Greek [moˈlon laˈve]), meaning "Come and take them!", is a classical expression of defiance reported by Plutarch in response to the Persian Army's demand that the Spartans surrender their weapons. It corresponds roughly to the modern equivalent English phrase "over my dead body". It is an exemplary use of a laconic phrase.

And it is that simple .....

My fathers and grandfathers have bled for this country from the indian wars and the civil war to our present day battle grounds in iraq ... And it hasnt been so that a goverment can take away the only true to form safegaurd to the constitution .....

And it is the one right of all the rights that has it own set of teeth and socialists like Obama know that !

                                                                                                                     Enough said ....

They are gonna get the guns and most will gve them up. The price of the ammo is gonna make hobby something only the wealthy can do. Lets say ammo gets so pricey and regulated you no longer shoot. Said gun is in the closet you forget about it. Job goes away your broke. Government says heres a 1000 for your assult rifle that you can no longer shoot. Speaks for itself i think don't you. Most will give up there guns then the rest will dissapear in the middle of night 1 at a time. It's not gonna be a huge them against us battle. If the choice is sell the gun or starve your gonna sell.

I saw a couple of Colts on the shelf yesterday, don't know the models, like $1299 and $1499. Seemed high, but Colt's always do.
