I have a Topper Model 88 20 gauge ser#AT403146...it has been fired very few times...had a broken transfer bar...i just replaced it...can this frame be fitted(will it be safe) with a muzzleloader barrel?

You or a gunsmith could probably fit a Huntsman barrel to it, but H&R won't if that's whatcha mean.

thank you sir...thats what i meant...it will handle the pressure of a huntsman barrel but i will need to do the fitting by myself...read the faq's and when the time comes i will be using your methods so thanks double

A muzzleloader barrel doesn't put any pressure on the frame to speak of, unlike a breech loading firearm that has breech thrust from the cartridge, all pressure is within the barrel against the breech plug. That's why SMI smokeless muzzleloader barrels will work on the Huntsman. Recoil is the only pressure that would affect the frame, as long as the barrel fits well it should work fine.
