Foaming bore cleaner
« on: November 20, 2008, 10:24:42 PM »
I have to say I'm sorry... because for the first time in my life, I used a solvent besides hoppes #9.  I had some pretty bad copper fouling that I thought needed some more help, so I got some gunslick foaming solvent.  I have to say, that stuff is pretty damn good.  I have never had a bore look that good with that little work, got everything out of there.

I have to say I had the same experience a few months back. I opened a bottle of Hoppes and let it set out on the table just for the aroma.

Fortunately, I got religion over 20 years ago and quit using Hoppes.

I've been using WipeOut for a couple of years.  Fantastic results and I'll never go back.

Give the Hoppe's enough time to work or repeat if needed.  You can leave it in the barrel for extended periods of time without worry.  You could also try Kano-Kroil and J-B bore paste.
