Do any of you know anything about a Winchester model 1200 20 gage pump? When I was 12 years old my dad gave me a Sears model M-200 20 gage pump shotgun for Christmas. It is a 3" Mag with a 28" barrel. That was the first gun I ever owned. When I was 20 years old I sold to my neighbor. He has had this shotgun now for 22 years and I will be getting it back from him next week. This gun means a lot to me because it was given to me by my father who passed away 11 years ago. My father and I shot many clay pigions with it. Anyways I have been trying to find out some information on it. Is this Sears shotgun the same as the Winchester 1200? Could I buy a rifled 1200 barrel and have it fit this receiver? I also read somewhere that the 1200 and 1300 barrels will fit the 1200 receiver. Is this true? Could I buy a real nice stock set for a 1200 and have it fit this gun? Would a 12 gage forearm fit a 20 gage? Any information on this would be helpfull. Also do any of you know of any problems with this shotgun? Are they a good gun? Thanks in advance Dale

Can't help you to much.
As far as I know the 200 and the 1200 are the same.
Just one was built under Sear's name for sale only by them.
I am sure the 1200 & 1300 barrels will work as they are listed in GUN LIST magazine in the barrel section as being so.
I don't know about the forearms.
I would think there would be a difference between a 12 & 20.
I have two of the 1200s and have never had any problems with them.
They seem to be pretty good guns with out getting into the higher price lines.
Both of mine are only 2&3/4" chambers which is fine with me.
Can't help you on the stock except I know a model 12 and a model 1200 are not the same.
Either that or the 12 stock I bought off flebay wasn't a model 12?
