Bayard 1908 firing pin needed

My gunsmith examined this pistol and determined the firing pin is broken  :(
Anyone know where I can find one? Mine is the 32 ACP chambered pistol.

Joe - I would call around to SAMCO, SARCO, or Gun Parts Corp and see if either would have one hanging around.  You can surmise this is not a widely available part and in some cases where replacements are not available the original may need to be repaired and put back into service.  Mikey.

I knew it was going to be hard to find when the smith told me he had no idea where he would get one for me plus with his labor it was going to be probably cost prohibitive...a very reputuable guy and a sponsor here. But since its a family firearm, If I can find one, I will have a friend who has done some gunsmithing in the past look at it with me and see if we can't repair it. Good suggestions Mikey thanks. I am not familiar with the names you gave me where can if find more info on them?

Joe - go right up on line - you should get a whole bunch of hits for any of them and then just get into their websites.  You may also wish to cruise through the links on Greybeard here to see if we have a sponsor who specializes in older parts.  HTH.  Mikey.

Just thought I would update this post.  It took awhile but I found a guy who machined a new firing pin for me based on the old broken pin, some schematics we found, and dimensions of a pin from another member here.  I fired this pistol for the first time today, and it was great to shoot my grandads firearm.  I think it was the first time it was fired in maybe 70 yrs. Only 3 fail to fire out of 25 and I think this has more to do with the spring in the slide than anything and they all fired the second time.  Its not a long range shooter, as at 15yds 32 cal. bullets were scattered over the paper. But this is a pistol for close combat anyway, and at 5yds. the 10 shot group had 6" spread, but 8 of 10 were within 4".  I was happy. Thanks to all who helped with this project.
