Heck y'all both beat me. Ride a kinda sporty with changes. Like single shots and doubles as they are easier to haul and barely stick out of a saddle bag My varmit rifle don't stick out. I will say that wearing my colors and having a barrel sticking gets even more notice from the law types.

Uh, I've got a 1988 Huffy 10 speed.  ;D And I like all kinds of guns.  LOL.  One of these days, I may end up with a bike, especially if gas prices keep going up (even though they're down right now).  I've ridden a few, and I liked it quite a bit.  Wife's not too fond of the idea though....  but she's not too fond of many of my ideas in the first place.   :D

i started life on a sporty, graduated to a 65 pan, then a 96 springer (my baby, my baby :'(), then traded the panhead for a softail custom, finally sold the custom,  bought my wife a buell blast, crashed my springer ( :'( my baby :'(), and now i ride a buell firebolt.  while it isnt my first choice for a ride, it is an amazing machine.  i may keep that one for short runs, and pick up something else for the long hauls a few years down the road when things settle down.   and when that time comes, it will be modeled after the pan, with the handlebars a tad higher. ,
here is me on the pan; short haired version   :'(

Yes I am a biker and damn proud of it. I own a 93 Electraglide Classic and a 99 Electraglide Standard solo. I do own guns, bows, knives, and slingshots. Yes I do have tattoos but lost count a while ago. I'm a husband, father of two, hunting & trapping safety instructor for the IL DNR, and also a business agent for union of 23,000 or so members. I'm an Odd Fellow and a Mason and do a lot of charity work. Last but not least... I'm also an ordained reverand. No I'm not a bible thumper but to each their own.
Just because we are bikers, this does not mean that we're bad people like some would like to think. Prove them wrong!!!!!

I'm a Biker, Husband, Dad, Grandpa and a Hunter! I'm also a Business Agent for Teamsters Union a job that I get told daily by Members, CEOs, Attorneys that I'm a worthless SOB. So when I get stressed and pissed I get on bike and ride nowhere special at about 100 miles things are right again. Those who ride know what I'm talking about ;)

Started with a Dyna Low Ryder many miles and changes later while at Sturgis 2003 wife said no more long trips on tiny seat. Thats why 2004 I had to buy new 2004 Electraglide classic see Wife and bike below;D Wouldn't dare carry gun on bike cause when some SOB puts me off road >:( I would put horns on them and tag them!

Damn you guys rock. I thought I was the loner around here. I ride a 1100 Vstar with changes that the OL can ride behind on or I have a 69 HD Ironhead that is my solo sled. I hunt with my handmade bow and arrows, 6 lever action rifles, two single action revolvers, two muzzleloaders, and a big rock. I will hunt a deer, hog, squirrell or rabbit. When I 'm not hunting or fishing ,me and the OL make as many Oklahoma Bike Rallies as possible. I ride with a  .357 model 686 21/2" and  NAA .22mag derringer in my pocket. I always carry a belt knife and atleast one folder always.
Deer hunting is mostly fun then you shoot one and it turns to work.

Hey deernhog, Now that's cool!
I've been hunting with traditional bows for the past 5 years and I'm addicted! I haven't made my own bow yet but I have been thinking about it.

That's a good looking Sporty you got there!

That was a rescue bike. Visiting a bud and it was scattered all over a driveway and in a box. Bought put it back together, fixed a venting problem from the crankcase and have been riding it ever since.   I have never picked up a bow I was more proud of than when I shot this one the first time. I started with a white oak slat glue the riser and got busy with a draw knife ,rasp and sand paper. Old indian fellow told me the more you make the better they get. All he uses is a hatchet and sand paper. I have some hickory and a piece of Bois d arc I want to start on when hunting is over.

deernhog, Nice looking bow.
Is that a bamboo belly?
I see you shoot left handed, I shot left handed for 33 years and am just now switching over to right handed. I'm right eye dominant and have only been shooting right about a month and I'm doing pretty well with it.

Hello to all you guys -- Amigo Will turned us on to this place this afternoon, and from what I can see so far, it looks cool. Hope you folks will have us. Chose the name "Dirt Bag" as that is what I some others were called (in good humor) on another forum, since we ride HDs. I kinda like it.
Mamacita and I have two sweet scooters -- '98 'King, and a hot '95 Springer -- both show bikes and both ridden daily --  Both put toger with blood sweat and tears like everything else we have ever done. We aren't afraid to light them up or get them dirty. The guns, shooting and gun work have always been there and always will --- since before the bikes. Don't hunt much anymore except for crows and cyotes (part of the reason there is nothing else to hunt here). Love to trapshoot with old antique shotguns, and spend our winters restoring them, and of course the never ending working on the bikes.
To the guy who says he goes riding after the company people piss him off -----  Man, I hear ya, and rodger that. I understand.
Thanx for sending me the link to this place Amigo - Might have found a place where we fit.
Hoping this finds  you folks well and look forward to hearing fom all of you:

I ride a '74 Triumph Bonnie 750 (right side shift, kick start only)... I've got about 20 or so long guns (all varieties)...
bowhunt with traditional gear (english style longbow)... and I hunt year round (varmints during the off season to stay sharp).

Any of you guys know how to make a Triumph stop leaking on the garage floor?? ;) ;D

Maybe they're supposed to leak a little. :-\

I presently have an '84 FLHTC and I ain't plannin' on gettin' any of the new "chrome machines".  Previously several different Sportsters from the late 60's the the early 70's.  Shoot older Winchesters and Ruger handguns, with cast boolits.

I'd post a pic of the Harley, but this site is way user unfriendly when it comes to postin' pics...BCB

Park it WHERE?? :o
Oh no... I think I feel the big one comin' on!!
Not outside... Not my baby.

Seriously though... The bike was bought new by a couple living up the road from me and has been garage kept since and is all original (except the pipes but I have the originals).
The husband passed away 4 years ago and the bike was put up for sale 2 years ago by his wife.
I saw the bike advertised... made the phone call... went to look at it... the rest is history.
I have wanted an old Triumph since I was a teenager... I love the looks of them.

My father has an '05 Softail that I ride sometimes too.
It makes me laugh going from riding the Harley to my Trumpet... My Bonnie feels like a bicycle compared to the Harley. ;D

I ride an '04 RK and a '01 Dyna.......my wife and I take at least one long bike road trip a year. This year we went from Wisconsin thru Canada to Maine via Niagara Falls. We spent a week ridin' the Catskills and the Adirondacks before spendin' a coupla days on Cape Cod. Last  year it was Tennessee, the BRP and the Tail of the Dragon. Year before that it was Sturgis and Yellowstone. Next year it's the Hill Country of Texas.

....being from Wisconsin, it's a necessity if one rides much at all. Like hunting, one has to learn how to dress for it. We left for St. Louis on the bike, the first weekend in October of this year and it was 33 degrees when we left the house......nine hours later, we hit St. Charles and it was eighty. Temps the last coupla years @ the Tomahawk rally have been mighty chilly also....last year we got snowed on.

Ride safe, Buck.
